Preparing You For What Is To a Come | Authentic Reflection
“It’s not what’s happening to you now or what has happened in your past that determines who you become. Rather, it’s your decisions about what to focus on, what things mean to you, and what you’re going to do about them that will determine your ultimate destiny.” ~ Anthony Robbins
If your destiny is the outcome, then the problems you are facing now are simply preparing you for what’s to come. Experience is the best teacher. As we interact with our circumstances we become more in-tune with our own capabilities and the true perspectives the people around us may have. When we begin to navigate new territory, our past realities begin to conflict with the new. We experience an identity crisis. Who we evolve from gets us to where we are, but it is who we are trying to become that guides us. It can get confusing. I know it gets confusing for me.
You begin to see that truth is hidden in the plain sight of perspective. Our thoughts shape our realities, but our thoughts are influenced by our surroundings. In a world filled with greed, when a giving person opens up they may still become infected with ill intentions. Adulterated environments can contaminate pure cultures. So often the world tries to get us to become what it wants us to become that it can become easy to lose ourselves in its chaos. The only way to stay true is to stay centered even when you’re being pulled in every which direction.
Keep your hand steady and keep writing the story. Be assertive but let your character freely form. Let your growth be organic and your existence be true. Never let another define you, but always be willing to redefine yourself with the time comes.
