Fear and Innovation – Weekly Motivation
“You block your dream when you allow your fear to grow bigger than your faith.” ~ Mary Manin Morrissey
Reality isn’t always what it seems. Your circumstances are as good or as bad as you believe them to be. Often times we define the quality of our lives by comparing them to others. Doing so can be detrimental when you are striving to live a life unlike any of those you have encountered. Somewhere there was a person in the darkness who believed that (s)he could create fire as long as (s)he had faith while others lost hope in the despair of darkness. If the person who believed in the light gave up, falling victim to a lack of belief, then (s)he and the village would remain hopeless in the dark. If (s)he did however act on this belief without a shadow of a doubt then all would benefit from the perceived illogical attempts to make fire.
Innovation sparks out of dark holes of desperation, filling the spirits of all those it impacts. Innovation by definition redefines possibility. it alters reality, so it can only happen by acting out of faith in an alternative reality, one different than what you are accustomed to seeing, hearing, or feeling. It’s up to you to choose whether to believe in the dream or believe in what you have seen, just remember that you have not seen the future and you can never account for all the things you do not know. You can only account for your belief and your work ethic, let those guide you through your purpose even when fear may tempt you to doubt what you already know. you have to know what you will accomplish, not just think it. Once you think it, it becomes a possibility, but once you know it, it becomes inevitable. In matters of purpose there is no room for doubt.
See you. Be you. Do more.
